Raising money for Legal Expenses, Relocation Expenses, and Living Expenses for campus rape victim Brooke Lewis.
I was violently raped in my dorm room on campus at ASU in April 2017. I called 911 from the scene of the crime and did a rape kit. ASU and ASU Police immediately started bullying me and trying to silence me after the rape. It has made my life very difficult, on top of the trauma from the rape.
After 12 months of trying to seek justice from ASU and ASU Police with no progress, I turned to the media to help get my story out.
I have not yet found an attorney willing to take my case against ASU on a contingency fee basis (no money up front). I spoke to an attorney back in May 2017 who was willing to take my case against ASU, but he said he needed a large retainer because he anticipated the case would be very expensive. In the meantime, I have found that other attorneys find the cases to be too large to take on without a retainer. So I need to raise several thousand dollars to pay legal fees to retain a law firm and defend myself and fight for the better rights for rape victims everywhere. I have been speaking out about the injustice other rape victims have also faced, and I promise to keep speaking up and fighting for them too. I will be reading all the comments on here, and any help is deeply appreciated.
