So as many of you know I am in negoatiations to open an Equestrian facility. The history, as we know it ,is that the facility in it's heyday (60's to late 90's as best we can tell from the area in the hayloft where everybody signed their name with the date as seen in the photo below) was "the" equestrian facilty in the area. Fast forward to today the facility has been vacant for two years. This facility will need extensive TLC to return it to its former glory. When I viewed the property for the first time, I saw it for what it was and what it could once again be.

My primary goal, once the neccessary renovations and repairs are completed, is to be a rehabilitation facility for rescued horses, those that have suffered from abuse and neglect, and can be useful and productive again. I have made contact with the Wounded Warrior Project, as well as the Horses for Heros program. These are programs designed to give first responders, and military vets suffering from PTSD, and their families a place to come and heal.

In the past I was involded in thereaputic riding programs, and have witnessed the miracles that happen when damaged souls interact with horses. There is something so magical about these interactions it defies words. No one can truly describe why it happens, it just does. I hope to institute a similar program with the same goals.

The funds required to make this facility handicapped accessible are my primary objective. Every penny raised will be put towards a wheel chair ramp, and making a parking area closer to indoor arena and renewing the footing of the indoor arena. Each donation gets us one step closer to that goal of paying it forward.
