Please help Bella


Hi,
I’m reaching out to all of you with a heavy heart. Bella is a 1-3 year old pitbull who has had an extremely rough start in life. Bella was born into a life of dog fighting, she is scarred from head to toe from past traumas I can’t even bare to imagine. Since then she has been passed from home to home until I learned about her situation. She has gone through 4 different homes due to a lack of training. As a dog who has probably never stepped foot in a loving home (during her time being used in dog fighting) this comes as no surprise, however this coupled with some lingering behavioral issues, has left her wondering when she will ever find her forever home. To say the least, this girl is in desperate need of TLC and extensive training. Bella has shown signs of dog aggression to the dog I currently have in my household and it has been quite a challenge to keep them separated as I work to find a solution for this sweet girl. My hope is to get her the training she needs from a board certified behaviorist, this will help increase the likelihood of Bella finding a forever home, where she can spend the rest of her days experiencing the kind of love that every dog deserves. If all goes well, I will be able to foster Bella long term. As I continue this training with her, the possibilities for Bella will grow and I may be able to slowly re-introduce her to my current dog hopefully ending in me keeping her. Either way the goal is to give her the happiest life she can have, she is still a young pup with many years ahead and if she were to continue to bounce from home to home I’m worried the trust and kindness she still shows to humans will begin to become muddled as she is continuously let down. So if you can, please help me help this girl in whatever way you can, even just sharing this would be extremely helpful. Thank you all so much.
