Help the family of Matthew Billings

             Matthew Billings was a dedicated employee, passionate cyclist, loyal friend, beloved husband, and devoted father. On Thursday, September 17, 2015, Billings was in a cycling accident while enjoying an adventure with his 3 friends. Tragically, at 33 years old, Matthew Billings lost his life. His 3 friends were also injured, two of which are still currently in intensive care. Billings leaves behind his wife, Rebecca Billings, and their 10 month old daughter, Evelyn. Matthew Billings was an amazing soul that was sure to inspire and touch every individual he encountered. His personality and fun-loving spirit was truly contagious. Right now Matthew Billings loved ones, especially his wife and daughter, ask for prayers in their time of mourning.

“I’m heartbroken, the love of my life, Matthew Billings was killed yesterday while riding his bike in Brecksville. Life had been exhausting lately with residency and a new baby, but he was our rock and we made a point of supporting his passion for cycling. He was a loving husband and amazing father. Evelyn and I would like to thank our family, dear friends, work family, cyclists, and strangers for the support. I still don’t know how we are going to get through this, but we are comforted by your kind words, thoughts and prayers.”




Those of us who knew Matt want to help ensure that Rebecca, Evelyn and the rest of Matt’s family have everything they need to get through this difficult time along with any future needs or expenses, such as Evelyn’s education. Every penny counts and is very well appreciated. Matt was taken far too soon from us, but his legacy will continue to live on.
