Raider in Need, Raiders for Life!
Donation protected
One of our Raider brother's has been working hard to make something of himself ever since his honorable discharge from the Army in 2010. Though he is still as sagacious and full of potential as we all remember him to be, there are times, as we all know, when it is not enough. His employer's business hit rock bottom and he fell under a blanket layoff. He was quick to get another job, but it doesn't start until April 7th, and at this point he hasn't the means to provide for himself until then.
He hadn't eaten a morsel of food from March 26th to the 30th, and abstained from reaching out until the 29th. With the help of other Raiders and my wife Jen, we have been able to help him find access to food, keep his phone on, and provide a bus fare from his location to another Raider's house for a temporary stay. He arrived their last night, and as we Raider's know, there is nothing better than being with a brother during our darkest days. I too wish I could be there with them.
I, Carter Stelling, have been in this position myself and have recieved help from people when they didn't have to provide it. For that I will always be grateful, and it not only helped me to reach adequate solvency but it was inspiring to see people come together to help someone. I now wish to pay it forward, and though I do not have the funds myself, I do have the time and energy to reach out for him. After figuring out how much he will need from now until then, which includes late rent bills, food, and gas, the total came to $1200.
If you have the means to donate in any amount, please do so. Small donations add up quickly and the few who can donate more will always bring it home. Keep him in your minds and hearts as I'm sure us brothers have had all along. I will be posting updates on here regularly and if you would like to know more, send me a message on my facebook page.
He has always been a great friend to me, and I know that he has what it takes to climb the stairs to success. Right now there is a stair missing before him, and with your help we can build that stair and enable him to continue climbing.
Thank you all, and have a blessed day.
Carter
