Lauren's Fund to Fight Lyme

Hi. My name is Stacy. My best friend of 25 years was recently diagnosed with Lyme Disease after months of unexplained, debilitating symptoms. Her name is Lauren. Despite feeling worse than she ever has in her entire life, she still made the journey to Colorado for my wedding in August. Since then, her symptoms have progressively gotten worse, from fevers to aches to chornic pain to bouts of fatigue so severe that she can barely take care of her two beautiful children. 

Lyme is terrible illness, caused by tick bites, that often affects people for the rest of their lives. Because so little is known about its prognosis and treatment, those affected by it often must put up thousands of dollars for medications, therapies, and doctor's appointments. Lauren is one of those people. Most of the treatments she needs are not covered by insurance. Unfortunately, all of those bills are taking a huge toll on her and her husband's ability to provide for their family. And currently, there is no way of knowing how much more money will be needed to get Lauren the care that she needs. 

Lauren is my best friend, her husband is a pillar of strength and compassion, and her children are like my own. I'm asking everyone to find it in their hearts to contribute what they can to help this family acclimate to a life that has become their 'norm'. No amount of money will take away the pain they have already endured, or may face in the future, but it will certainly take some of the strain off of their already stressful lives.
