Michael Wilson

Marcus is a 14 year old boy who lives for sports.  Marcus runs track, plays basketball and football all at the highest level he can. Marcus has been all over the US playing against the toughest completion out there.
Last week Marcus came home from a tournament in Cali. He complained about a head ache. Next day went to urgent care and was sent home with the flu. Following day his symptoms became worse so Michael rushed him to the ER. After hours of testing and many scans it was found that Marcus had strep throat infection that had traveled to his brain. He was transported to UNM children's hospital where he underwent a very long and gruesome brain surgery to remove the infection. Later that same night he was rushed back into surgery because the infection came back and his brain was swelling. The neuro surgeons cleaned the infection out for a second time and removed a section of his skull so the brain had room to swell. Marcus is in  the pediatric  icu. Marcus has a very long road ahead of him.  He will need lots of therapy. He will be in the hospital for a long time . I am raising money for Michael Wilson his dad who will be by his side every step of the way. Marcus is the apple of his daddy's eye. He will not be able to return to work for quite a while and is in need of any financial help we can give. We want to thank everyone for the love and support for Marcus at this sad time.
