Hi, my name is Jeff Parker. Recently, I began teaching high school English in the Geneva City School District. This is an incredibly diverse district with a great amount of potential. Unfortunately, opportunities for students to express themselves effectively using technology are significantly constrained. Much of the tech in the school is not up to date and at times, presents more of a hindrance than facilitating student expression.
With this campaign, we hope to raise the funds to purchase twenty Chromebooks and a lockable charging cart for my classroom. This will enable to students to research and collaborate in amnner that has not been possible up to this point. This is an esential tool for many of them, as they wish to go to college and will need these skills and a familiarity with cloud computing.
