Medical Fund for Alexis

This is Alexis Schueller. She has recently been diagnosed with neuroblastoma. It is a type of cancer that is inoperable. She has a large tumor in her abdomen that is attached to her stomach and bladder and wrapped itself around her spine. They removed what they could from around the spine, so she has hope of walking again. She is unable to move from the waist down at this point.

Therapy to help her walk again was discussed. She has a large incision down her back and is quite uncomfortable. This cancer will continue to wrap itself around the spine and other organs, so they need to shrink it and control it.

The cancer is also in the bones. They will be sitting down with her "health team" early this week and chemo and radiation will be happening for sure.

Alexis' mom is raising 3 children on her own.  Mackenzie (8th grade), Alexis (Kindergarten) and Gage (19 months). 

Alexis is currently being treated at U of M Mott's Children's Hospital. Currently, some of the family has gone home and some are still in Ann Arbor. That will continue to be a strain as Holly has no car. They are hopeful once they have a plan, they can move her back to Sparrow for her treatments.
