We are a family of 4, we live in a 1962 GM coach, we where on our way to NC to settle into a home, and start a new life. We made it from Arizona to Oklahoma and lost our transmission.
We are in need of a new transmission, we need funds to buy a $3000 trans and then pay $90 per hour to have it installed. We have already spent a lot of money getting towed to a garage that said they could fix it, but after looking at our bus, gave us a $30,000 estimate.
We have two kids on board, and are listing anything we have of value on Craigslist to sell to get us back on the road.
Anything would help.
We need a V730 Allison transmission. Found one in the northeast for $2500 plus shipping.
$90 an hour labor, estimated at 3 days.
$450.00 to get towed 7 miles to an new garage.
