Lala, you have a disgusting and dark perspective on life. It's because of people like you that so many are disgusted by the Christian lifestyle choice. Your lifestyle causes you to rationalize horrible things as events that occur solely because your god "works in mysterious ways." That is intellectually lazy at best, hateful at worst. Does it occur to you that perhaps bad things just happen, and that there's nothing more to it than that? What happened to this beautiful woman does not have some special, mystical "meaning" or "purpose." It's a horrible thing that happened because of a single TICK, and it will change her life forever. Have some compassion, and stop obsessing so much over your creepy theistic beliefs and how they apply to other people's misfortunes. Instead of doing something useless like "pray for" this woman to magically grow back her limbs or whatever, I will actually do something productive by DONATING and providing this family with the financial support they so badly need right now. But for you, Lala, all I can say is: love the Christian, hate the Christianity (or ANY religion if it makes people think the way Lala does). Your words are pathetic and evil.
Lala if there really is a God and he had something to do with this poor girls rotten luck he should be ashamed of himself. You need help. I pray that Jo can survive this horrible situation and be able to watch her 2 sons grow up. I feel terrible for her.
We are working on a bank account for her. @Lala, yes, God is good because we still have Jo; it could always be worse. We are sending prayers that God's guidance is with your doctors as they address your neurological condition. Thank you all for the love.
@Lala Gaban: That comment was completely the wrong thing to say, in the wrong place, at the wrong time. Not that this should be the subject here, but for as much as such one God does, he allows. Not everything bad allowed to happen in life is a deliberated mandate for something to happen. Nothing claims that suffering is what God caused to happen. As for the "gift" of God, the gift was in his promise. A future with no more tears, no more suffering, and no more pain--all things new. The gift is hope. It is not claimed anywhere that God causes bad that happens--there is only claim that they do work all things towards good. If you're going to share hope, share something encouraging. She doesn't have to be told she's facing difficulty. She doesn't even need you to "teach" her on faith. She should be comforted by your support today. She needs the miracle of honest love right now. Give them your sincere support, not your perspective or unsolicited lessons. Let's focus on this poor woman, turn our thoughts to her family's situation, and help her if we can, however we can.
Lala... It is sad that you say that God gave her this gift. True that God gives gifts, but not all suffering is a gift. It is part of a fallen world. Trying to slap a happy face on it (especially without even knowing this person or where their heart is) is not the way to approach things. Allow God to be God, and you be His "hands and feet" through loving acts and considerate words. This woman has been devastated. Show empathy and compassion, not "hey, just count it all joy" and think that works. She has to live with this for the rest of her life, you don't. Be a witness, no a "noisy gong".
Wtf because of that beautiful tick she can no longer hug her children. Play soccer. Her life as she knew it is over. Lala if you ever get attacked by one of gods beautiful creatures, I hope this wonderful gift is bestowed upon you. What a waste you are..... God gives us the gift of life, but also gives us pure evil too, you are one of those evil "gifts".
My 13 year old daughter just spent 10 months in ICU, on a vent, and is now paralyzed and unable to talk due to West Nile Virus. Its unbelievable how dangerous these little insects are. Anytime I hear of someone suffering from an insect related virus, it breaks me heart. I will be praying for your family
Lala maybe God will bestow this exact same gift on you and if he does i pray you wont blame the tick either...what a dumb silly thing to say. Im sure he did not create a tick deliberately just for her. However I am sure he will be there for her to help her through by bringing people here to read her story and i pray that her and her family reach the 1 million mark. If not more. I also pray that your brain is healed from the morinic disease you clearly have!
