Save Our Domestic Violence Shelter

Donation protected
Mita Maske Ti Ki, (My Sister Friend's House) a domestic violence shelter since 2000 located in Sioux Falls, SD.  As a vital part of the Sioux Falls Native American community, we are in urgent need of funding to continue to keep the doors open.

Historically, Mita's revenue source has been through federal grants, but due to increased competition for those monies, our grant application for 2016 was not renewed. We are currently only funded until the end of 2015.

Funds raised will be used to meet our minimum monthly operating budget of $12,000. The total goal amount is to fund the 2016 year. We will pursue new grant options during this time.

Your donation is part of the healing solution to the cries of women who have not been allowed to speak and have yet to find their voice. For others, they lament "I wake up and all I do is try to survive the day" or "I want my life back." These women come in as victims, but our hearts' desire is that they leave as overcomers.

Would you join our tiospaye, (our extended family) to help keep the doors open so that we may continue the mission of standing against violence and help those who want to escape it?

We believe every person is created with purpose. Thank you for helping us to aid domestic violence victims in finding theirs.
