Get Skunk to Poland!
Donazione protetta
Hello all!
I've been blessed with an opportunity to represent America on the U20 National ultimate frisbee team that will be going to the World Junior Ultimate Championships in Wroclaw, Poland this Summer. This chance to play at an international level and to represent my country is truly once-in-a-lifetime and I am extremely excited for it! However, every good thing must come to a financial end, which in this case is mostly the air fare of around $2,000 along with tournament fees and training camp fees.
More about myself, though. I've been born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan and I started playing ultimate at my school, WTMC, in 10th grade. What made me fall in love with this sport has got to be the amazing ultimate community and the pure exhiliration one gets from skying/laying out/breaking the mark. The spirit of the game and the fact that people can be really competitive against each other and yet still maintain their integrity is also what I love about ultimate.
You're probably wondering, "Wait, why does this kid want a smelly mammal to go to Poland?" It's because a smelly animal IS going to Poland! If you haven't figured it out yet, my nickname is Skunk, which I will explain. It all started when my beloved coach took my highschool team to a tournament for the weekend in my first year, which meant that there'd be about 6 guys to a hotel room. Since I've been given such a thorough and immaculate digestive system, I let out a little thunder-from-down-under in my sleeping bag (which I now know is not airproof) and my aforementioned beloved coach, who was unfortunately in the same room as me, decided to explain to me the rules of a nickname and bestowed unto me the nickname of Skunk. After about a year of myself going through all the stages of denial and hoping that people would forget about it (which they did not), I finally learned to accept my fate and take it as my own.
Now that you know about me, I welcome you to consider funding me and know that any amount is greatly appreciated! The world must smel-- er, I mean HEAR the name of Skunk!
Also, the highest donator will receive a tournament disc!
