Ludmila and USA Deaf Volleyball!

As many of you know, my daughter Ludmila is a nine-year member of the U.S. Deaf Women's Volleyball National Team. Next summer, she will participate in her third and last Deaflympics, July 18-30, 2017 in Samsun, Turkey. She and her teammates earned the silver medal in 2009 in Taipei, Taiwan, and finished fourth, just out of medal contention, in 2013 in Sofia, Bulgaria.
With several returning veterans and some promising newcomers, the U.S. National Team is going all out to bring home the gold in 2017. Its coaching staff, led by Lynn Ray Boren, has no peer anywhere in the world. The team has three tune-ups this year: the U.S. Open Volleyball Championships May 26-30 in Orlando, Florida; the PanAm Deaf Volleyball Regional Qualifiers
July 1-4 in Washington, DC; and the World Deaf Volleyball Championships July 6-15, also in Washington, DC.
In the next few months, each member of Team USA must raise $4,000 to cover travel expenses -- airfare, lodging, meals -- apparel, and the cost of training. It's a tall order, but Ludmila has done it several times already with the help of countless supporters, including YOU. She is very grateful to the many people who have supported her and her teammates time and again, and we thank you in advance for your continued support. Anything that Ludmila raises above her individual goal of $4,000 will help her teammates.
