75th Anniversary of D day parachute jump
Donation protected

While at the EAA Airventure a year ago, I learned of a group that found a historic aircraft, a C47 that lead 800 other C47s with paratroopers into France on D-Day.
I have the opportunity to make the 75th anniversary jump on June 7. The event will include the restored C47. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity to make such a historic jump. I was only four days old when D-Day happened, and I would like to make this jump in honor of other veterans, especially those that gave their lives on the beaches in Normandy.
I thought I could do it on my own, but it's turning out to be a more expensive endeavor than I thought it would be, as I am retired. I need to buy my parachute and reserve chute, and WWII uniform. I am scheduled for a refresher jump school in March, to qualify with the required parachute, and need to travel to Texas.
I would appreciate any help towards expenses to make this dream of a lifetime come true. If there's someone you know you would like to honor, especially a veteran, I would be privileged to carry their name with me when I make this jump.
