Greetings! We are the friends of long-time Woodstock resident, Peter Buettner – devoted musician, composer, carpenter, lover of life, and conscious human being.
Peter has recently been diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease – a turn of events that has, understandably, turned his life upside down. The tremors that accompany Parkinson’s have made it impossible for Peter to earn his living as a carpenter and prevent him from playing and performing on the sax and flute that have been such a huge part of his life for decades.
Currently, Peter is immersed in the process of strengthening his immune system and doing whatever he can to moderate the symptoms of Parkinson’s. It has not been an easy time for him. That’s why we are launching this GoFundMe campaign on Peter’s behalf – an attempt to raise the money Peter needs to compensate for his lost wages, pay for treatments not covered by his health insurance, and buy him the time to continue developing his new life as a composer and creator of music. Any support you can provide is very much appreciated. No donation is too small.
Time and again, over the years, Peter has been there for his community, playing countless benefit concerts to support people in need. Now it is our time to return the favor. Please contribute whatever you can. Express your support to our good friend so full of kindness, creativity, and good will.
Our goal is to raise $25,000 which will be enough to get Peter through the winter while he gets his sea legs, and pays off the debts he's incurred after these past two months of not being able to work. We are all in this together!
