After several months of feeling badly and multiple doctor visits with no answers as to why, it was discovered Cody had a large tumor in his stomach. He was admitted to the hospital and went through a battery of tests still with no answers on what it was. The doctors decided to remove the mass, taking 3/4 of his stomach and his spleen. Results of tissue tests showed Cody has Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma, stage 4. On Saturday he was resting at the hospital when he began to cough and aspirated stomach acid. He was flown to Shands in Gainesville, placed in a medically induced coma, put on a ventilator, and started on dialysis. he is fighting for his life right now. His mom Jammie has been with him every step of the way. She’s had to take a leave of absence from work to be by his side. Without her being able to work, there is no income at all. This campaign is aimed to help Jammie raise money both for hospital bills incurred throughout this time and to help Jammie be able to afford to have things like food and shelter while in Gainesville at Shands. Please do what you can to help ease their burden during this difficult time.

It's been a few days since we updated and I'm sorry about that. He got moved to another wing of the hospital and it's been hectic.

Cody is doing good, he is getting stronger but still is unable to speak or move much on his own due to atrophy and general weakness. The doctors said he has a problem with his larynx not closing allowing sounds to be made, the specialist is away in Egypt but they scoped him and sent images to him. So we are at a standstill there.

He has his second round of chemotherapy tomorrow, we can only pray this goes well.

He is in good spirits overall and is thankful for all the love and support everyone has shown. Thank you for continuing to follow him through this journey to recovery, we appreciate it more than we can express.
