Junior National Young Leaders Conference

Hi everyone,We are asking for donations to help send Jaelene to Washington DC this summer. We received a letter inviting Jaelene to the Junior National Young Leaders Conference in Washington, DC! She was nominated by one of her teachers as a student who has achieved academic excellence and possessing strong leadership potential. Jaelene is a brilliant 8th grader and is stoked to have this opportunity. At the conference she will practice real-world leadership skills while collaborating with other students on the Voices of Change Project and visit Harpers Ferry National Historic Park and learn about the consequences leadership choices have. She will also get to spend the night at the Maryland Science Museum and learn about the past and future. Jaelene will be doing the residential program which is 6 days. Tuition will include the hotel room, food, and transportation to and from the hotel during the conference. By attending, Jaelene will prepare for the future and take the first step on a .org or success in high school, college, and even her career. She will learn to become a better leader by setting clear goals, improving communication skills, embracing models for solving complex problems, and building effective teams.
