Harrisburg To HBCUs

Donation protected
"Harrisburg to HBCUs" (formerly "Harrisburg to Howard" ) is a program started in the spring of 2017 founded by Howard University student Raheem Martin, and co-coordinated by fellow students from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The program is for high school students (16 years of age or older) from the Harrisburg Area (Harrisburg City, Steelton, Highspire, Susquehanna, Central Dauphin, etc.) to visit and/or stay on campus at an HBCU for several days in April. Participants of the program will stay with a host, go to classes with someone with their major of interest,  and go to various events on campus or in the area. The goal for this program is to inspire students to seek higher education, introduce them to a plethora of positive black role models at HBCUs, and to awaken their sense of pride in the Harrisburg community and residents.
