Kellermann Family Flood Recovery
Donation protected
Some of you have learned by now that the home of Tim & Wanda Kellermann flooded on the evening of April 18th, 2016.
Posted by their daughter Lori:
"My parent's house flooded. Raymond and I went to get them out. Ray got them and the dogs out safely... There is water waist deep inside their house. They lost every material item they owned, entire contents of their house, vehicles, and such... The most important thing is everyone is safe. Thank you, Lord! Trying to find the blessing in the pain."
I've spoken with their son Raymond who said "This is the first time it has flooded in 12 years. We believe it happened because of the new subdivision they are putting in behind them..." Many of you may recall Tim spoke to news team abc13 this past October regarding this new development, raising concerns about the negative impacts it would have on permanent residents of Southern Oaks.
On social media, friends and family have responded with an outpour of support and the same question on their minds: "How can I help?"
Ray also went on to say that while the Kellermanns thankfully do have a flood insurance policy, the extent of the damage is so great they are still going to have significant out of pocket costs to recover from this tragedy.
As a friend of the family, I am asking that anyone who wishes to help these incredible people to please prayerfully consider donating to help fund their recovery. Anyone who has ever gone through something like this knows they've got a very long road ahead of them and I'd like to see the community that they've long supported join together to help bless them in their time of need.
Every dollar helps.
Monies will be used in the short term to help with immediate needs such as shelter, food and clothing as they have literally lost everything they own and in the long term for clean up and restoration of their home.
In addition to any monetary donation you are able to provide, it should go without saying, please keep these folks in your prayers in the days, weeks and months to come. Please also take a moment to share the link to help get the word out. Thank you.
