So Mark CAN go to his dad's funeral

This is about my friend Mark, who had a dad until yesterday.
My friend Mark, who somehow, lives month to mouth on under $400. Too little to save for emergencies such as these.
My friend Mark, who works like a man possessed with a dream to realise, interspersed with frequent seizures that often have his spectacles in need of repair. No chance of replacement.
My friend Mark, who lives on a boat in the bay*, his home and his project, as well as his pride and joy.
Gifted by an owner whose dream had changed, most useful essential equipment already missing from the boat.
My friend Mark, who is resourcefully recycling old boat parts to bring his own boat recycling back to life, despite severe financial restrictions.
Did I mention that until yesterday, Mark had a dad?
His mum was holding his dad’s hand when the motorcycle struck, pulling his hand out of hers forever.
My friend Mark, who never asks for anything,
Would love, more than anything right now
To go home to Ottawa, to hold his mum’s hand,
in comfort and unison with his family.
Please, please help my friend Mark to make this trip to Ottawa before next Thursday.
He hasn't been able to afford a visit for 10-12 years and now is his time of need, more than any other.
He will need to pay for a return flight, dock fees for his boat because it needs to be kept an eye on during the frequent west coast storms, care for his 18 yr old cat Opal, who is going to guard the boat, and living and travel expenses whilst he is there.
Thank you for reading and sharing this wherever you can, and contributing if you are able.
