About the Mission:The 2019 Mission Trip to the Philippines With Christian Outreach Ministry: Embrace and Reach International. This mission is a fifteen day trip to the Philippine Islands (July 5th - July 21st).
I’ll have the opportunity to serve as a member of the Embrace & Reach International Leadership Team. Our team will play exhibition basketball games against various opponents from the Philippines.
Additionally, the team will be providing free basketball clinics, and much more in various different regions of the Philippines.
— About Embrace and Reach International:We are a nonprofit missions organization with the desire to embrace and encourage the body of Christ, both locally and internationally and to reach people in need with the radical love of God and see them grow in personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Our leadership team is committed to loving God with all their hearts and expressing His love through acts of service, encouragement, and bringing a message of hope. Our organization has a passion to serve communities in developing nations with specific spiritual and physical felt needs due to poverty, life crisis, disasters or social injustice. Volunteers for our outreach teams are intercultural, interdenominational, coming from all walks of life and diverse backgrounds and ages. We utilize a holistic approach in serving our targeted communities working in partnership with local governments, health, and medical personnel, community and entertainment organizations. Over the past 18 years we have expanded the scope of our outreaches to include:
* Free medical and dental ambulatory outpatient clinics
* Health Education
* Goodwill Basketball Exhibition Games
* Basketball Skills and Personal Development Minicamps for Youth
* Biblical Training and Discipleship Seminars for Youth and Church Leaders
* Character Building and Motivational Speaking in Public Arenas
* Feeding and Clothing Distribution
* Accessible Clean Water System Installation
* Construction and Restoration of homes and community buildings
* Personal Prayer and Counseling to those in need.
Each year our aim is to reach as many people as we can with the love of God, bringing hope and encouragement through the above programs and see our volunteers grow in their understanding of God and His purpose in their lives, inspiring them to use their talents and abilities for His glory.
— About me: My name is Patrick Kelley. I am a small business owner, and an instructional aide for the Redwood City School District. I began as a substitute with the school district in 2016. I taught 6th grade in 2017, and last year I took a 3rd grade classroom. I only recently began my small basketball business last year. Before I began teaching with RCSD I coached and directed at Legarza Basketball Camp for roughly 7 years. I also attended Notre Dame de Namur where I received my bachelors in History and Political Science; and played high level basketball. On a more personal level, I reside in Redwood City with my Mother, two Brothers, and my Fiancé. Unfortunately my father past away with cancer of the esophagus only one year ago.
