My name is Rick Naval and I am soliciting financial support for my friend Jaime Bueza Manuel who was tragically killed by a pickup-truck driver during a traffic stop along Interstate 80 in Fairfield on Friday morning: https://www.kcra.com/article/chp-officer-driver-killed-in-crash-on-i-80-in-fairfield-friday-4/22699124

Ten years ago, Jim (Jaime) came to the US to pursue his American dream, leaving his job, his wife and his daughter in the Philippines. With his desire to give his family a better life, Jim endured the struggle of people finding their livelihood in the United States with limited resources. He made the ends meet by working as a caregiver – a far-fetched from his job in the Philippines as an Airline Manager. He worked very hard to earn his livelihood pouring out his blood and soul just to see his daughter finish university in the Philippines leaving very little for himself to survive away from his family.
Before that unfortunate accident, one of his dreams was seeing his daughter and his wife here in the United States since going home to the Philippines was neither an option for Jim. The August 10, 2018 accident on the i-80 wrecked that possibility. As a good friend of Jim, It is my wish to fulfill that dream by finding a way for his wife and daughter to repatriate his remains to where his heart would wish he would have put to rest.
Sadly, the only thing that Jim left behind in his passing is his true and genuine friendship and his legacy as a father to his only daughter and as a husband to his wife. He has left nothing for himself. I am appealing to all of you with all sincerity and with a good heart upon which i am offering a fervent prayer for your compassion to help financially.

P.S.
We offer our prayers to the souls of Jaime Bueza Manuel and CHP Officer Kirk Griess who both died in the said accident

Jim's final rites was held on 8/24/2018 at the Bryan Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield, CA. It was a modest and solemn service attended by family members, friends, church friends and special people whom Jim touched their lives during his lifetime. He is being remembered as a kind-hearted soul, loving, caring and loyal husband, father, brother and friend. Jim is also being remembered by his brothers and sisters in Ithan, Binangonan, Rizal, Philippines in a prayer vigil.

Today, 8/27/2018 at 8:00AM, Jim will embark on his final journey as his body will be cremated at the Fairmont Cremation Services also in Fairfield, California.

To all our donors who have supported us at this tragic event, Jim's family and myself would want to extend our sincerest gratitude for your prayers, comforting words and financial support. Our burden especially financial, was lightened. Thank you all for being the big brothers and sisters to us during this time. We felt your love and compassion.

As we embark on another undertaking in seeking justice for Jim's wrongful death, we would need your prayers and support again. The future is uncertain, but we believe that beyond all these events, there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Lastly, we advocate that people will show more respect to other people by "Not Using their Cell Phones" when driving. Let us not repeat the wrongful death of Jim and Officer Griess which was caused by an irresponsible individual who used his cell phone while driving.

Again, our sincerest gratitude. We may not be able to return the favors, but we pray that abundance come your way as well from the Giver of life.

Sincerely,
Rick Naval
