Rhett Flener just turned three on January first, and his adorable birthday video has touched the hearts of the millions of people who have seen it!

Rhett was born with Down Syndrome (Trisomy 21) and also required reconstructive bowel surgery in his first few months of life. Since then, he has been hospitalized for pneumonia and other issues several different times, all of which have racked up medical bills.
You can read all about Rhett’s incredible birth story on his mom’s blog: https://alittleextraflener.wordpress.com
On December 19, 2018, Rhett became a big brother when baby Brooks was born. Lee Ann (Rhett’s mom) had a very high-risk pregnancy and delivered via c-section (with a team of specialists) at 32 weeks gestation. Brooks was in the NICU for about a week but is now home and doing well.
After all this family has been through they continue to be a positive influence both in their local community and the larger Down Syndrome community, promoting awareness and education. Lee Ann is a teacher but also serves on the board of DSSKY (Down Syndrome of South Central Kentucky) and has worked on the Buddy Walk for the past three years.
I am raising funds to support this wonderful family and to help pay off Rhett’s outstanding medical bills, Lee Ann and baby Brooks’s bills, and to help them take care of any other medical needs for Rhett in the future.
