Hello my name is Jonathan Gordon A.K.A Tank, I am a 16 year old athlete who has been playing soccer for ten years (Yes, picture the little beginner 6 year old running around cheerfully). Throughout the years I have developed a true passion for the game, which has helped me excel to an advanced level player as a Forward (Don’t believe me just watch). I was fortunate enough to be selected by the Olympic Development Program (ODP) to be on the Florida 98 Boys State Team.  After three prior attempts to make the team, this was the best news of my life to date! So here is where I need your help. 

My school has been extremely supportive of me playing soccer. Multiple teachers have attended my games. Even the school administrator took time out of his day to see me play. This coming year is the most important year for me. I will be a high school senior and college scouts will be paying very close attention to me (as they should). I am very fortunate to be playing on a team that is in some of the top tournaments in the country such as the CASL Showcase, the Disney Showcase, and the Dallas Cup. We will be competing in the Southern Region Premier League, which consists of the top four teams from Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

I understand how fortunate I am to have these opportunities and with your support I plan on taking full advantage of the opportunities that present themselves to me. I have gotten this far through the support of my school, family, friends, and most of all through the memory of my father who passed shortly after signing me up for soccer eleven years ago. My dad has been a huge inspiration to me and I feel as though the further I go with my athletics, the prouder he would have been of me.  He always saw the potential I had athletically and that little light he saw back then in me at 6 years old, burns bigger and brighter than ever inside of me now.
