Buenos días. Mi nombre es Ixayana Gallegos García, tengo 24 años y soy originaria del Estado de Jalisco. Me dirijo a ustedes a través de este texto para solicitar su valioso apoyo económico. A la edad de 11 años, lamentablemente, me detectaron diabetes infantil mellitus tipo 1: ésta es un enfermedad inmune caracterizada por una destrucción selectiva de la células betas del páncreas que causa una deficiencia absoluta de insulina. Desde ese tiempo he estado en tratamiento al cuidado de mi familia, con un control médico medido, pero sufriendo por el desgaste físico y emocional para asimilar la enfermedad. Mi cuerpo, desde un tiempo para acá, sufre los estragos y la he pasado en hospitales de semanas a meses a causa de una operación tras otra; la primera fue de pulmones, ya que los estudios encontraron agua en ellos y había que sacarla. Como ustedes saben, son muchos los factores en contra para la persona que lo padece; debido a esta enfermedad, poco a poco fui perdiendo la visibilidad hasta quedarme completamente ciega de un día para otro. Me sometieron a tres operaciones pero, lamentablemente, mi organismo no respondió y fueron un fracaso. Ahora me encuentro hospitalizada por padecer insuficiencia renal. Según los estudios, mis riñones sólo funcionan un 10% y tuvieron que someterme a diálisis, que en ese momento resultaba lo más viable. Yo no puedo ver, pero mi familia va diciéndome a cada paso lo que van haciendo con mi cuerpo. Por último, necesitan realizarme un transplante de riñones ya que con la diálisis puedo vivir más tiempo, pero no lo suficiente. La operación es muy costosa y es por eso que recurro a usted que me está leyendo a través de esta fundación, porque mi deseo es seguir viviendo hasta donde Dios me lo permita, pero desgraciadamente mi familia ya no cuenta con la economía suficiente para solventar el gasto de esa cirugía. Ustedes imaginarán lo que he vivido y sufrido por esta terrible enfermedad, al igual que mi familia, que no me ha dejado sola en ningún momento.
