Dear Friends, I'm Mario Barreda, I'm a chef a Fredy's cousin. I'm helping him with this campaign to make him able to go to the 5th International Music Festival New Docta.
Here's his story:
I am Fredy Villegas
I'm a 19 y/o cellist from Venezuela. I've been selected as a semi-finalist in the II New Docta International Competition, that will be in Córdoba, Argentina, from August 25th to September 3rd, 2017.
The New Docta Foundation will cover all my lodging and meals expenses during the competition, and the only thing I'm missing is the flight ticket from my city of origin, Caracas, to the city of Córdoba.
Pitifully, Venezuela is going through a terrible economical and political crisis, and becuase of this I don't have the necessary resources to buy the ticket by my own. This political-economic situation has caused many Airlines to stop providing their services in Venezuela, and the few that remain only sell their tickets in USD.
This flight-ticket is valued between $1300 and $1800, flying with Copa Airlines

Dear friends who have so generously helped us to reach this goal: Fortunately Fredy already has his ticket to be able to go the competition, the New Docta Foundation helped us buying the ticket for him because the trip was so close. We have to refund the ticket cost with the money we are collecting here. We also had to update the money goal because the ticket was more expensive than we expected, pitifully flights from Venezuela have become so expensive due to the political situation it's going through. Thank you so much for supporting us!
Queridos amigos, soy Mario Barreda, soy chef y soy un primo de Fredy. Estoy ayudandolo con esta campaña para poder comprar el boleto aéreo que lo llevará de Caracas a Córdoba y poder participar en el 5to Festival Internacional de Música New Docta. Esta es su historia:
Soy Fredy Villegas
Tengo 19 años de edad y soy un Violoncellista Venezolano. He sido seleccionado como semifinalista del II Concurso Internacional New Docta, que se llevará a cabo en la ciudad de Córdoba, Argentina, del 25 de Agosto al 3 de Septiembre de 2017.
La Fundación New Docta cubrirá mis gastos de hospedaje y alimentación durante el concurso, solamente me falta comprar el boleto aéreo desde mi ciudad de origen Caracas hasta la ciudad de Córdoba.
Lamentablemente Venezuela está pasando por una terrible crisis económica y política, y a raíz de esto no cuento con los recursos necesarios para comprar el boleto por mis medios. Esta situación politico-económica ha hecho que muchas aerolíneas se vean obligadas a suspender sus servicios en Venezuela, y las que quedan sólo venden sus pasajes en dólares.
El costo de este pasaje está estimado entre $1500 y $2200, volando con Copa Airlines.
No alcanzarán las palabras para agradecer el apoyo que puedas brindarme, desde compartir esta publicación con todos tus amigos hasta donar la cantidad que desees, cada dólar cuenta!
Queridos amigos que tan generosamente nos han ayudado a alcanzar este objetivo: Afortunadamente Fredy ya tiene su boleto para poder ir al Concurso. La Fundación New Docta ayudó a comprar el pasaje por lo urgente del viaje y debemos devolver el costo del boleto con el dinero que estamos recolectando aquí. También tuvimos que actualizar la meta de dinero porque el pasaje fue más caro de lo que esperábamos, lamentablemente los vuelos desde Venezuela se han vuelto muy caros debido a la situación política que está pasando en el país. ¡Muchas gracias por apoyarnos!
