Gerald & Christina Harris Family House Fire

The Harris family just went through a devastating house fire in the early morning hours of Dec 20th and lost everything in mere minutes. They have been very generous people in helping those in need. They now need your help right before Christmas. Everyone made it out just in time before explosions took everything. Any donations are much appreciated. They have 3 girls; the oldest Mikayla just graduated from SCA and is now in Springs College, Madison is in grade 12, and Meagan is in grade 8. I have taught all 3 of these wonderful ladies. Our families have become great friends. Please help in their time of greatest need.
“At 1:30 this morning, my brother Gerald awoke to a fire in his home in Winnipeg. He was able to wake his family and rush them out of the house in their PJs and slippers, just as it exploded. His wife’s mother, father and brother were also visiting from Thunder Bay for Christmas. The family is being treated in hospital for burns and smoke inhalation. They lost everything, including three of their four beloved pets in the fire. And they had no insurance for the contents of their home.
My brother and his wife ran a small business out of his home, and it will likely be a while before they can get things up-and-running again.
We feel more than a bit helpless, living several thousand kilometers away; as we have no other family in Winnipeg to take them in and love them. Christmas will be particularly sombre. Perhaps you can help.
Funds will go toward food, clothing and temporary lodging for his family of 5 (Gerald, Christina Kruger, and their daughters Mikayla, Madison & Meagan Harris), obtaining two computers and a printer to restart their small business (as well as computers for his daughters’ return to high school and college in January), making payments on their car lost in the fire, and ultimately purchasing mattresses, beds, furniture and appliances to start life over, once they find a new home.”
