Travel for Therapy
Donation protected
Hi there,
I am a 54-year-old woman from Adelaide, South Australia. In 2004, I had an operation for shin splints go horribly wrong and was left with one dead foot and a lifetime of pain. Two years later, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). A year after that, my marriage of 25 years ended, and suddenly I was a very sick, bored, single woman. I bought a house for myself and the three children who were still at home, and settled in to live out my life alone and most probably in front of the TV with two small dogs! Then I discovered Muse. Over the past 5 years, I have used my savings to travel to Europe and America to see Muse, and my health has improved with every trip. At some point, I started making notes and putting blurbs on my Facebook page about the experiences of travelling, queueing and gigging for Muse, and my friends have urged me to write a book. I've started my blog, mylifewithmuse.com, as a lead-in to the book. And talking of friends, I have made hundreds of friends all over the world. And all the while, I have continued with my treatment for the MS, and have continued to thrive despite the illness, so I really want to keep travelling and writing, for my therapy and your enjoyment. It would mean the world to me to keep it going! Any small contribution would be appreciated, and when I finally publish my book, I will personally send a copy to everyone who donated AUD$20 or more.
