Change the Special Needs Community

Specially Fit is non-profit organization EIN #83-1994985 that was founded to help change lives of individuals with Special Needs. Over 60% of individuals with special needs are over weight and lacking self esteem. Specially Fit designed a program where they provide year round workouts and training as well as year round sports with the partnership of the Special Olympics.  

This company began with one individual who changed the founders life of working with this population and grew to over 100. We go into special needs schools, group homes, and adult day training programs to offer our services. The goal of our company is to reach over 200 individuals this year and make this a nationwide program. The money we ask for is to help us assist more individuals in this community.  


We are providing case studies this year as evidence to prove that fitness is key in getting many off their medication due to nutrition and an overall lifestyle change. Physical changes are not only apparent, the psychological and emotional changes are as well. By providing team sports, coaching and guidance, we help build confidence, social interactions with others and significantly reduce and eradicate discipline issues.
