Kylie's Gift of Giving

Our 8 year old daughter Kylie has insisted this year she is asking Santa for $600 (we're not sure why that amount, but why not!?).  A lot of children ask for money so they can shop for their own perfect gift, but not Kylie. She wants to give that money to Boston Children's Hospital to "help the children there who are sick"  or to donate the money to "children who will have no gifts this year at Christmas".  Last night before going to bed she wrote our "Elf on the shelf" a note asking him to tell Santa what she hopes for most this Christmas.  I have posted a portion of that letter in this picture for you to read.  It would mean so much to her, and to us if we could make her wish come true.  This child is filled with love and generosity to give.  We can think of no better lesson and no greater gift than the gift of giving to others who are in need- always, but particularly at this time of year.  If you are feeling generous and would like to support Kylie's Gift of Giving please do so by December 10th so we can give half of the money raised to Wilmington Firefighters (Toys for Wilmington Children) before Christmas day and the other half will go to Boston Children's Hospital.  We will hopefully be able to wrap a certificate and give it to Kylie Christmas morning so she can see how her generosity motivated us all to remember what matters most this season-the health, well-being, and joy of our children.  Thank you!
