Sylvie Cormier’s Healing Journey

Sylvie a toujours eu de la place dans son coeur pour tout le monde: que ce soit par lien de parenté, d’amitié ou de soins thérapeutique, elle veut toujours rendre les choses mieux pour la personne devant elle.
C’est maintenant à son tour de se laisser prendre soin, et à notre tour de l’aider à traverser ce prochain défi.En octobre, Sylvie et Paul ont reçu la nouvelle qu’ils craignaient le plus: Sylvie est diagnostiquée avec un cancer rare et agressif, le cancer inflammatoire du sein (http://www.cancer.ca/fr-ca/cancer-information/cancer-type/breast/breast-cancer/cancerous-tumours/inflammatory-breast-cancer/?region=on). Son traitement commencera dans les prochains jours, et nécessitera un arrêt de travail complet pour qu’elle puisse avoir de la chimiothérapie, des chirurgies et autres traitements possibles.
Nous, sa communauté d’appui, pouvons tous l’aider. Avec nos dons, Sylvie et Paul pourront se payer le coût de transport entre Grande-Digue (où ils habitent maintenant) et Moncton pour les traitements. Ils pourront faire garder Danielle pendant que Sylvie prenne ses traitements et récupère. Ils pourront obtenir des services thérapeutiques complémentaires à ceux que Sylvie aura en oncologie. Ils pourront acheter les ingrédients qu’il faut pour préparer des repas nutritifs. En plus de toutes les autres dépenses ‘ordinaires’ de la vie.
Sylvie et Paul ont toujours été les aidants des autres dans des moments difficiles. Ce n’est pas évident pour eux de se retrouver dans la situation inverse, mais du fond de leur cœur, ils apprécient chaque petit geste que vous faites pour eux. Merci!

Sylvie is light, laughter and love. You rarely leave an interaction with her without a kind intentional embrace, and you always leave feeling better than you did before you saw her.
Our dear friend, colleague and therapist Sylvie Cormier is starting a challenging journey. She was diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer and will be taking time to receive treatments and heal from this obstacle along her life’s journey.
She’s chosen to surround herself with nature, share snuggles with her sweet daughter Danielle and make the move to the country with her supportive and loving partner, Paul, along with his brother Richard, and Belle-Soeur Chantal.
For the upcoming months Sylvie has taken leave from her occupation as a self employed massage therapist & acupuncturist as she receives chemotherapy, surgery and other medical treatments. As such, we’d like to set things up financially so that her annual income isn’t missed, or such that $$ it isn’t an additional stress for her and her family. Our goal is to have 1000 people donate between $25-100, but please give what you can.
As an added incentive, in response to each $10,000 lump sum donation, her colleagues (Blossom, Jennifer, Glendon, Brandon) have volunteered to shave their heads with her, just let us know who you’re nominating.
If go fund me isn’t within your comfort zone, there are other ways to help. She’s already begun transitioning to a vegan lifestyle with emphasis on sprouts and juicing, perhaps you’d like to supply fresh organic juice for a few days, there will be lots of trips in and out of Moncton, a gas card would be very appreciated, 360 health centre will have a raffle basket with lots and lots of goodies at the front desk, if you’d like to donate items to the raffle please drop them off by December 1st, and Mary-Ann 360’s administrative ninja will also accept cash donations on Sylvie’s behalf.

Most importantly, it’s time to reflect all that light, laughter and love back onto our dear sister. Messages, emails, positive vibes and prayers are all very much appreciated. Let’s wrap her in our LOVE.
