Seth's Third Grade Classroom

Hi everyone! My name is Seth, but my kids call me Mr. L. I will be teaching third grade social studies and science this upcoming year at BA St. Ville Elementary located in Harvey, LA part of the Jefferson Parish School Disctrict. St. Ville will be reopening this school year after being closed down for a number of years. I am asking for donations because the budget for our teaching staff is very low. Also, due to the fact that it is a new school there are not already materials in the classroom that are needed for students to be successful. I will have to buy furniture, whiteboards, and other school supplies such as paper and pencils.

Approximately 80-90% of the students that will be enrolled in our school are eligible for free or reduced lunch. This means that some students may not bring school supplies or even a bookbag to class. That is why it is so important to gather extra monies so I can make my class the learning environment they deserve. Even if you only can donate a couple dollars, any donation will be greatly appreciated. I truly believe that all students deserve a quality education. Where a student lives or their socioeconomic status should not determine the quality of education they receive.

This upcoming school year, I will work hard for my students and make sure they are on the right path to achieving success in the future. It is important to fight for our kids and give them all the resources to succeed because they are the future leaders of the country.  Thank you and I appreciate anything y'all can donate!
