Texas Students Relief for Ecuador

My Fellow Texan Students, families and friends; as you probably already know, a massive 7.8 (richter scale) earthquake hit the coast of Ecuador this past Saturday. The earthquake hit strongest on a low resource region of the country, where people struggle to get food on their table on a daily basis. It is important that we help them now more than ever. 

The government has declared various cities and regions of the country as "disaster" zones where more than 400+ persons have lost their lives, more than 300+ are missing, and more than 2500 are injured. 

We started this fund with the purpose of helping raise funds for two initiatives for relief approved by the government. The first is to help purchase emergency kits which include:
- Water
- Canned Food
- Non-Perishables such as Rice, Sugar, etc.
- Emergency Aid Medical Kits
- And most importantly, tents and clothes that will act as shelter

We are currently on a race to rescue as much people as possible trapped in the rubble. And so, the second half of the relief fund will be donated to the heroes rescuing our people; the Ecuadorian Red Cross.
