Bring Myra Home

Donation protected
I have read and donated to multiple 'gofundme' campaigns. Many of those stories have touched my heart with heaviness and sadness... But I never thought that I would one day share one of those stories..

After a long 4 years of waiting, my Fiance's family finally decided to come across the ditch from NZ and embrace the 'aussie' way of life..
Being a family of 7, there needed to be some stable foundation here.. therefore mum (my mother inlaw) come across first.

She walked straight into a full time job as a Childcare educator and the teachers educator of her room.. she started after just 2 weeks of being here.
Coming from NZ where they were still wearing trackies & hoodies, to AUS where we were battling 40+ degree days.. she struggled. She battled on, walking to and from work and trying to keep up to our fast-paced, sun thriving, Aussie way of life !
Mum adapted quick to the constant swimming and sausage sangas..  Myra began to love Australia, but there was always just one thing missing.. her family back in NZ.

Mum has always been so energetic who absolutely loves to sing, dance and cook. She has always been the first person to lend a helping hand and/or money where needed.. even if she didn't know the person. Mum has always and will always pay her respects to the Heavenly Father above.

She has never drank alcohol or smoked a cigarette.. it just wasnt her thing.

Everything seemed to be working out great.. The family (Myra's other 5 children and husband) in NZ were planning on transitioning across the ditch a couple at a time over the next few months... but that all changed when mum become ill.

Mum was perfectly fine. Healthy, happy and her usual bubbly self. Until she went from conducting a choir all weekend for a worldly church conference to sleeping all night and day for 4 days straight.. we took her to hospital and they sent her home.. summed it down to a viral. Said they couldn't do much as she didn't have Medicare yet..
Another 4 days passed and she become worse.. vomitting, passing out. The works..
Ended up calling an ambulance this time.. they took her in.. checked her blood pressure.. (was through the roof), checked her sugar level (also through the roof).. ended up summing it down to a viral yet again.. after hours I pushed and pushed and made them do a CT scan as she was always complaining about migraines.. they weren't really Keen but I guess they were doing anything to get me out of the hospital... Turned out mum had a massive tumor. The doctor himself was in shock. We were quickly rushed to JHH where they themselves were concerned about the no medicare thing..
After they realised mum was deteriorating, they booked her in for an MRI.. had that done. The doctor called and advised us if he doesn't operate tomorrow, she will have less than two weeks to live..
Had the op done. They advised us everything was all good and they removed it all and it will be sent away for testing..
We finally thought it was a hit n miss and Myra got somewhat lucky and somewhat unlucky.. only to be told that she has been diagnosed with a TERMINAL BRAIN CANCER which is stage 4 (the worst & most aggressive) & she will need ongoing treatment for quite a while and the treatment itself will make her very sick..
Seems like we're living a night mare.. but the hardest part of it all is once the treatment starts.. mum is stuck. Stuck for at least 6 months or more before she can go home..

With mum not working, the big family move across the ditch is not possible.. therefore we need to send mum home.
We need to send her home to her 5 other children.. one being just 14 years old..
We need to send her home now so that she can start this treatment straight away !!!

Mum will have to be transferred Internationally with a medical team as she is not capable of being on her own without her 24/7 medical assistance..
Myra has gone from singing, dancing and caring for children every single day, to not being able to feed or shower herself..

She will need an entire team to fly with her as she needs constant medical attention and needs to start treatment asap to avoid another tumor forming. To have a medical team take her home, is costing tens of thousands of dollars.. which we do not have.

Please, if you can spare even $1.. please find it in your heart to help send Myra home to her children !!!
We just need to get Myra home to give her the best chance at life and to be with her children

Thank you.
