Help for Leah-Grace

This is Leah- Grace she is 22 months old and a little ray of sunshine!
Last weekend, Anita (Leah-Grace’s mother) dropped Leah-Grace off at the babysitter’s house in the evening, so she could go to her overnight shift at her job.
An hour and a half after dropping her off, Anita received a call from police saying that she needed to get to Regions Hospital right away. When Anita arrived at Regions, she found out that the woman watching Leah-Grace, the woman that she knew and trusted, had intentionally held Leah-Grace’s hands under scalding hot water which resulted in third degree burns of both of her hands. She was burned just above both wrists and all the way down to her fingertips. Leah-Grace is at Regions hospital, in the burn unit, where she will have to stay for, at least, a month. She has a long road of recovery ahead of her, including skin graphs and multiple surgeries just to name a few.
Anita is a single mother to Leah-Grace, while she has her sister who also lives in the area, her support is very limited. Anita not only has the stress of this horrible incident, she now has to worry about her finances. Her employer informed her this week that she no longer had a job as she was unable to make it to work, because she was at the hospital by her daughters side 24/7. No child deserves this pain, no parent deserves this stress.

My name is Becca and I am a parent at the Child care center where Leah-Grace attends. I have only recently met Anita and her daughter but as a parent to a young child I felt compelled to help! These funds will be used and directly given to Anita and Leah-Grace to assist with the recovery and bills through the next few months.
