Beth was diagnosed April 17th, 2017 at age 42 with Stage 4 colorectal cancer that metastasized to her liver and lungs. Her prognosis at the time was a 5% chance of living 1 year. She has since surpassed that due to her extensive treatment at the Siteman Center. This journey has been both physically and emotionally draining for Beth . However, she has remained resilient and positive throughout. Last August, her family spearheaded a benefit which was an amazing show of love and support by her friends. It also allowed Beth to pursue other treatment options alongside her Siteman plan. Miraculously she was even able to continue working around her treatments. During her second year, Beth received a devastating prognosis of 3 months. She has surpassed that as well. Her oncology team has started her on a daily chemo treatment in hopes that eventually she will be strong enough to start a trial that will primarily concentrate on her lungs. This trial will require time and financial dedication as it will be long term. Beth is no longer able to work at all. We, her friends, would like to help her by starting this Caring Bridge site to provide updates, show Beth how much we love and support her, and offer an option to donate to her extensive treatments. This will help Beth with her day-to-day trips, treatment, and some medications that her insurance will not cover. It will also help her overall while she continues her fight. Donating even the smallest amount would help in significant ways. Any close friend or family member of Beth's knows that it is her strongest desire to live another day, month, or year. Her goal 2 months ago was to make it to her 44th birthday on Sept 28th. With your love and support we will get her to her 45th, 50th, 60th, and so on. We will be updating this site regularly. Please keep Beth in your prayers. Thank you all!
