The Knox Family Fire Recovery Fund

Donation protected
On the morning of December 31st a kitchen fire at my brother in law's home caught the entire house in flames. The blessing is that all were able to get out of the house safely, including the family dogs. This was a small wood frame house; this family has no insurance. The dad (Bobby) is a very hard worker to provide for his family. This has been devastating for the family. Two years ago the grandmother passed away. This was her home and had her belongings in the house.. This feels like an additional loss. The family consists of dad, mom and 2 girls (one in middle school, the other in high school). What the family is doing and has accomplished in the last few days is to try to convert the garage into a small apartment. This way they can begin work on the house. It will need to be gutted. They are not accustomed to asking for any help. I know it takes humility to receive support.
Update:
First, I thank you for what has been done!!! The family has been working night and day to complete conversion of the garage into a small apartment. This is the only way to have a roof over their heads. The monies provided by Red Cross for a motel room have been depleted. The school district has donated funds for a week extension. One family member is trying to get a storage unit for donated furniture, etc., as it comes.

Second, they have reached a stalemate with construction of the conversion until purchase of more sheetrock can be made. 45 pieces of sheetrock have been donated and approximately 50 more are needed. Insulation is complete and plumbing has been put in the kitchen and bathroom areas.

Third, I have a list of what they have/may need at this point. (It changes from moment to moment) Yes, they will need everything to re-build the house, but getting the garage converted seemed the most practical at this time.
