A funeral for a good person.
Donation protected
Hello, My name is Jordan and I am asking for your support and charity in aid of a good friend and mentor of mine, Eugene Treadwell.
I seek to raise a hefty sum that we can not do on our own, in order to give proper burial to Margaret Mcgann, Eugene's Family and Spiritual partner.
OUR OBJECTIVE: To raise enough money to keep Margaret's body in storage untill we are able to have a proper funeral. This cost about $25 a day for storage and between 5-10k for the funeral itself. I am asking for your help in achieving this goal.
ABOUT MARGARET AND EUGENE.
In the late seventies, Margaret underwent an operation to help her manage her weight. Unfortunately, at that time, no one was aware that this particular operation would lead to a life long battle with liver disease. (This operation is no longer used due to this now known risk)
Together, Eugene and Margaret faced the financial and emotional difficulties that acompany liver disease, including the varied and serious medical issues that arose due to the core illness. With Margaret's strong will to live and Eugene's dedicated and loving care, Margaret fought liver disease for an admirably long time. They had each other and that was what got them through the years of hardship.
Sadly, Sunday March 6th, Margaret succumbed to her illness.
This is where your finanical help is needed. Margaret and Eugene lived on a very tight budget and burials are very expensive. If we do not have enough funds, Margaret will have to be cremeted. Eugene is trying to avoid that.
Eugene is in the process of trying to get her buried in Arlington National Cemetery, where members of his family are buried, or have her buried in one of the Maryland's militiary memorial cemetaries.
With luck, this would mean the military or V.A. would cover some of the burial cost
Unfortunatly, many financial factors come into play here, one of them is time or the cost of time. The storage of Margaret body costs $25 a day. Though that may not sound like a great deal of money, over time it adds up incredibly quickly. Without help, paying for storage and potential funeral cost is just not possible, especially after all the expense of caring for Margaret, particularly
toward the end of her life.
Every $25 is another day we are able to keep Margaret's body in storage and another day we can work towards her burial. Every dollar lifts some of the financial weight from Eugene and the rest of the family shoulders and brings Margaret closer to the burial she wanted.
No words can express our gratitude, so all I can say is, Thank you. Thank you to everyone who has given their support, be it financial or emotionally. Thank you to everyone who offered their hearts to us.
