Daniel's Half Marathon Campaign

Donation protected
On Sunday, January 24th, I will be running in Miami's Half Marathon on behalf of Misioneros Del Camino, a Home to so many orphaned, abandoned, and malnourished children of Guatemala. Misioneros Del Camino has given these children a home to call their own, but more importantly, endless love.

Misioneros Del Camino also has a Neurological Center on site, which provides over 175 children with various disabilities from across Guatemala with several daily therapies. The Neurological Center is the top Center in Central America, helping children with various disabilities including Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, and Intellectual Disability Disorder, and many more.

With the help of Misioneros Del Camino, so many children will be given a future—something they were not guaranteed before. But even better, with the help of Misioneros Del Camino, these children will have a bright future ahead of them.

I am calling on my friends and family to please help in supporting a cause that means so much to me. My goal is to raise $1,450, a little more than $100 per mile. This money will help sponsor two children at the Neurological Center for a full year. Thank you for your help and consideration of this incredible cause.

One of the many children who will be helped by your support is Alejandro, also known at Papucho, who arrived at the home nearly fifteen years ago at the age of six months old. He has a presenting history of cerebral palsy and delayed cognitive development. Throughout the years, he has been receiving daily therapies at the Neurological Center, and has shown tremendous progress. His physical, emotional, and neurological development have improved significantly and he is very involved with all of the activities taking place throughout the home. When Alejandro was first evaluated years ago, we were told that he would never be able to walk or stand on his own. However, since receiving therapy at the Neurological Center, he has been able to walk, run, eat, dress, and bathe all on his own. Alejandro loves all types of outdoor activities, especially playing ball! With your greatly needed help, children like Alejandro can receive the medical care they need, while enjoying their childhood to the fullest.
