Events ‘The Pursuit of Happiness’, as an Amnesty International Speaker.

My travels have taken me across five continents in ten years, working, volunteering, backpacking hitch hiking.

I believe that exploration is not just about finding new landscapes but also discovering the real you.

This year, I have spoken about my travels and experiences at International Women's Day and Ted X. In the media: BBC R4, Wales, London. Wales on Sunday, Evening Standard, Guardian, Daily Mail and internationally in Malaysian, Polish, Indian, Japanese, Italian and Chinese Media.

I have now set up a mental health charity called the Pursuit of Happiness. Focused on guiding people to find: "Outer Might Through Inner Light"

I am in the process of setting up a website, but you can read about it on the youcaring page and I have included the bank details if you would like to donate, if you are a UK tax payer please send me your name and address so I can claim gift aid it is better to donate direct to bank account so money does not get lost in website transaction fee and I can claim gift aid:

I have also partnered with Amnesty International to speak in schools.

My new year’s resolution is to be a better person and give back to the world.

I have therefore decided to work predominantly not for profit this year. Any fees that I receive for media interviews, speaking events and guest appearances will be donated directly to this project to meet my costs.

My first step to doing this is to se up charitable events to inspire ‘freedom’ around the world. I plan to visit different countries in developed and developing countries to talk about my journey to happiness and freedom, the countries that I have visited and the different cultures. I think this is important to world peace because it is only when you can set yourself free, can you start helping others on their path to freedom also. I also feel that this is especially important in developing countries where many people are not granted basic human rights and education about this is limited. I plan to do this in partnership with Amnesty International in schools and with vulnerable groups.

I recently traveled with no money from Hong Kong to the UK to show freedom, humanity and spirituality and explore a number of social and political issues. You can read about my experiences through by blog: http://tinyurl.com/rhinal which also includes links to interviews which I did in the Guardian, Daily Mail, Evening Standard, BBC Radio 4 Saturday Live, BBC London, BBC Wales and Wales on Sunday as well as international publications in India, Hong Kong and Japan. I also recently gave a talk to over 300 people (throughout the day) for International Women's Day.

A little bit about me, I worked as a Communication Director in London until the age of 30 years old. During my time in London I was attacked three times. This subconsciously affected and pushed me to liberate my heart and mind travelling around  the world, backpacking, hitch hiking, volunteering and couchsurfing. I stayed with locals and lived like a local and it really enlightened me and opened my mind and helped me become the person that I wanted to be and overcome my traumatic experiences by gaining perspective. I hope to share my experiences and inspire others to find their freedom and happiness too.

I will post the amount of what I raise and what I do with it on my blog (http://tinyurl.com/rhinal) so that everything is open and transparent.

So what is the point of all of this? The world has become united in conformity and unhappiness, rather then freedom and happiness which is how it once was and how I hope it will be again one day. I want to show that it does not have to be like this, it is our choice and through personal experience i have found that positivity and opening your mind and heart to others is key.

I will start these events as soon as I have raised enough funds to get the the first location and I will finish these events when and if the funds to keep the events going run out. Until then, I will persevere hopefully to inspire freedom and happiness in the world.
