Justice for Deontae Lamar Bush

Donation protected
On July 27th at approximately 8:50pm my brother’s life ended in front of my former middle/High school. Deontae Bush was struck on his bicycle by a driver who carelessly barreled down the road (speeding) ignoring a red light; the driver hit my brother, pinning him under the wheels of his vehicle and proceed to drag him until his body was mangled beyond recognition. I wasn’t at the scene when it happened; I’m a soldier stationed out of state, but when arrived home for emergency leave I went to the scene and spoke to witnesses who say they saw what happened. One says that the driver of the van never attempted to render ANY aid to my brother; another said they saw another vehicle strike Deontae causing his body to fly into the air and that van later came and obliterated his battered body. The coroner says that they were under the impression that he was struck by multiple vehicles... the funeral home owner said that in his 30 years of embalming he had never seen remains in such a mangled state... the police have given my family ZERO information or assistance... The street are talking though... the driver of the van was Nia Wilson’s brother Ruben... he’s was never taken into police custody and witnesses say they saw him walk away from the scene free... since when does an auto fatality not warrant a blood and alcohol test? Since are people allowed to walk away freely after killing someone... if the police had done their job and sought out the truth they would have known that there were witnesses that saw this man speed through a red light! Nia Wilson’s father and sisters came to my Brother’s candle light and hugged my mother crying crocodile tears; they knew full well that Ruben was responsible for Deontae’s death... the father repeated said “I’m so sorry.” My mother doesn’t want an apology, she doesn’t want money, she wants justice! And the man responsible be put behind bars for his negligence. #justicefortae #rip #deontaebush. Via Jerome P. Bush
