Fundraising for Michelle
My sister Michelle Slaughter was walking through our small community on her way home. Less than a mile. She was attacked by 5 dogs. Battling for her life, she fought this pack of dogs. By the time first responders arrived on scene, the dogs had taken her to the ground. The dogs ripped her clothes to shreds as they ripped through her body. The first responders and a few people driving by who stopped, saved her life. Her physical injuries include 48 puncture wounds, 40 deep lacerations, scratches and bruising on arms, legs, torso, buttocks and back. Externally she had 110 staples, 6 stitches, and 5 areas that had liquid stitch. The Dr said they did not keep count of the internal stitches, too many. They are concerned about nerve damage to her right arm, we pray she doesn't loose it. Until swelling goes down, Dr is unsure if it's broke. Mentally she is traumatized. She isn't sleeping. She says, "Every time I close my eyes, I see it.". It will be a long road of recovery for Michelle. During this time she is in need of financial help. It takes a whole tube a day of antibiotic ointment. If you and your family can give a donation, we appreciate it. If you can't, we appreciate your prayers for healing. Much love and appreciation from our family to yours. Thank you.
