Our Family Needs Your Support

$1,485 of $2,000 goal

Raised by 49 people in 10 months
Our family consists of myself, Alex my fiancé, Roland, Draven my two sons, and Brighton, my step daughter. Okay okay, and our fishy Ancalagon. Can’t leave him out. Let me take you through the story. In March 2018 I was let go from my job unexpectedly, and unfairly. April 1st we found out we were expecting a new child! (Not even an April fools prank!)During this time I had been looking for a job that would both support my family, and be able to afford daycare for my two kiddos. After several visits to the emergency room, doctors offices, and specialists, I was moved to high risk pregnancy. Little background, Some of you may know with my last pregnancy, my water broke at 22 weeks, resulting in being hospitalized for 2 months, an emergency c section, and 2 months more in the NICU as a single mamma. This pregnancy, I have gotten sick so much, I had actually lost weight, and have tore my esophagus from puking as basically a bad hobby of mine now. I am having to visit a specialist once a week, take hormone replacement shots at home weekly, and I’ve been advised to avoid work, exercise, and even lifting my children. I have a high risk pregnancy due to placenta previa, a cyst on my ovary, and a history of premature pregnancies. I also suffer from a ligament issue in my left hip from a previous pregnancy. As you can imagine this has weighed on the family. My fiancé is constantly concerned with me limping at the grocery store, sleeping restlessly, shouting in pain, and leaving us to wonder when the first bleed we will have is, because we were told when that happens from the previa, I will ultimately be hospitalized again away from my family. My current standings have left me dealing with major financial struggles, bank accounts severely overdraw, living off of credit cards, over due on our bills, and pushing me to find jobs that are ultimately going to push me over the edge, health wise. I have several interviews lined up, but unsure at this time, of the light at the end of the dark time we’ve been going through. Those of you who can help, it’s more appreciated than I can ever express. Those who can’t, your mental support means the world to us as well.

Car wreck on Sunday.
Not a Sunday funday.
It was raining, 3 street racer cars were weaving cutting people off, lady in front of us got scared, slammed on her breaks, we did as well and hit her. Then the car behind us hit us, then she was hit also, us taking 3 impacts.
I told the cop we’re calling AAA, and refusing ambulance (I’d rather pay a lyft bill than that)
then we called AAA and they said call 911.... right after he left lol
they wouldn’t send out a car because of the weather advisory.
We called every tow company and finally got one.
Cost was almost $500 out of pocket.
In the wreck I stomped my feet into the floor board, my hips took the full impact of the crash. The boys got marks on their necks, but other than that, we’re fine, and actually excited
My ankle, hips, and chest are tight and sore. My neck isn’t great either. I was having contractions due to impact and adrenaline, so I was on a 6 hour hold at the hospital. I have a headache that I can see lol
They took blood to see if there are antibodies fighting the baby, thus rejecting her. I had to get a shot of Rogham, which when you and your baby are two different types of blood, which we are, it keeps your blood from fighting the baby off.
I went In for an accident injury assessment later, and was prescribed temporary complete disability.
I have appointments every day this week, but no car of my own, so we’ve been dumping money into lyft and uber to get place to place.
Luckily Alex got his car out of the shop yesterday, after also getting hit last week by a hit and run.

Rant over. Waiting for a break.

Hello Everyone!!!
I wanted to give a positive update.
Its been over a month since my last update, and a lot has changed for the better.

Thanks to everyones help, we were able to get to where we are afloat. Recently i started a new job as an office manager at a wonderful company. I am so thankful to have got this job when I did. It is flexible with my kids, and even better, encourages that i bring my baby to work when she is born. Thank you so much for getting me by until i was able to find a job.

Charlie Elise Dugan,. This is the name we have decided on for our new daughter! Updates on her! She is now 24 weeks, and the size of an ear of corn!
In the last month, i've been in the hospital twice. Once they were going to remove my Gal Bladder (THANK NIMROD THEY DIDN'T), turns out i just dislocated a rib.... fun... SMH.
The second one was for pulling my pelvis muscles to the pint of internal bruising, and tearing ligaments. DOUBLE FUN.
Wheres the good part, Harmony?
Well, Alex and I went in for an ultrasound yesterday,t o check on my inevitable placenta previa.
The doctor, looking baffled, says "well i'm not really sure how to explain this, and this is not usual, but your no longer previa. It has miraculously unattached and moved to where it is supposed to go! You're.... i guess what we call..... normal now?" Also she is only measuring a week behind, so we are good there too!
SO GOOD to hear! I still have to take it easy, and have to continue my hormone treatment once a week, but we're out of the woods for now!

Thanks again for all your support and loving words. We are still playing catch up in a major way, but we can see the sky again, and we are digging our way out!

Spending $40 on a crib, and $38 on the rest of the things, we have a pretty decent little “bedroom” for her in our bedroom closet :)

Progress!
It’s nothing pretty yet, but we gutted our bedroom closet, and turned it into a nursery! Stay tuned for progress!
Not bad for doing what we can lol
