I had no knowledge of this letter unitl I found it three days ago in the hallway closet. The letter touched my heart. Reading the letter brought me to near tears and I wondered how life would've turned out if it wasn't for the kindness of James W. Jones. His act of kindness enabled me to participate in band throughout middle school and high school. The letter has inspired me to start this fundraiser for students in need wanting to learn to play an instrument. The money will be donated to local music programs to ensure that every student that is interested in learning to play an instrument will have the ability to do so.

Hi! Again, I just wanted to thank everyone for their support and provide a quick update. I wasn’t able to speak with the Robinswood Middle School band director in person due to my work schedule, but I did speak with him over the phone. He was delighted to hear about the campaign supporting music programs for children!
In other news, I was contacted by Daily Blast Live a few days ago and will be appearing on live national television to talk about my GoFundMe campaign! It will be airing on June 6th around 1:00p.m.

Hello Everyone! Just wanted to give you guys an update on my progress and future plans. I would like to start off by saying how grateful I am for all the generous contributions I received. This campaign and letter inspire me every day to go above and beyond!

Today, I spoke to the band director at Carver Middle School (Mr. Martinez) and the principal at Robinswood Middle School due to their band director not being present at the moment. Both schools expressed excitement and great appreciation for the money being raised to provide the schools with quality instruments and equipment.

I was a student at Carver Middle School when my mother received the letter from James W. Jones. This is why I decided to choose this school as one of the recipients of the fundraiser. When speaking to Mr. Martinez, he informed me about the many hurdles they had to overcome. Due to their lack of funding, some of his students have to share instruments amongst themselves. While challenging, this didn't affect the passion for music his students carried in their heart. The dedicated band students participated in the Concert Music Performance Assessment and earned a Superior rating!

My next steps are to meet with the band directors of Robinswood and Meadowbrook Middle School on Tuesday morning. When we reach our goal, I will personally bestow your contributions to each band director.
