My name is Norma Pérez also known as The Salvi Vegan. I have started this campaign to help me in aid of creating delicious, plant-based, Salvadoran food for pop-ups. After an unexpected ending of my initial career I saw there was a lack of Central American vegan food at least in the sense of an establishment being completely vegan, fully and only Salvadoran. With this being said, especially with a lack of stable financial support, it has been hard to do any kind of pop-ups. I want to be able to do my next one and other ones better and constantly. This financial help would go into helping pay for equipment, ingredients, licensing, permits, trademark, transportation, rentals, pretty much everything I would need to consistently do pop-ups. I want to start small because eventually a food truck and or a restaurant would be the end vision. There is so much I am envisioning for this dream but it cannot happen soon without your help. Many have kept asking when I am doing my next pop-up but unfortunately I have had to postpone until I have secured more income. Like many people today struggling financially, I have come here to ask for your help. With your help and contribution, I can make this dream come true and share with all of you this vegan food of "Mi Pulgarcito". (Nickname we Salvadorans call our country) Here is an article that came out about my story on L.A. Taco Go check it out! http://www.lataco.com/meet-the-l-a-chef-who-has-veganized-40-dishes-from-el-salvador-and-is-going-for-more/

Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for those who have contributed so far to my campaign. One of the major things I wanted to first get out of the way but was one of the most important and costly one was hiring a Trademark lawyer to help me with any legalities when it comes with my trademark and brand. As much as I am super supportive of other companies that are doing the same or along the same lines of the specifics of what I do, I know protecting myself and my brand was going to be important especially because I knew I had something unique. Name (and name of dishes) wise, design wise, concept, so I know it is something special. :) I am super confident with my sazón and know no one can have my flavors as much as I can not have others and their flavors. We can all co-exist and support one another and hopefully respect each other's brands. So, one step down, more to go on this journey. Thank you thank you for your genuine support. :-)
