I never thought I'd be here. Truth is, I really want to spread awareness about blood clots. It was the single most scary thing I've gone through. The thought of not being with my children is heart wrenching! My intention was to not ask for any help at all and to really stress to others to aware of what their body is saying! Truth is I am a single mom and could use a bit of help but not real good at asking for that! If not for all the feedback and people asking to help I would not make this account. Everyone has been so kind and my son, who said 'I don't feel like a hero ' now really does feel like one and he loves reading all the nice words being said! What a great community we live in! Thank you everyone for reading our story!

I am so overwhelmed with all the kindness, love and donations! I really wasn't expecting all this at all! I do have medical insurance and plan to use some for my prescription cost as that doesn't seem to have much coverage. Also, I plan to take my boys to a movie and maybe let them pick a toy. There has been so much donated I was thinking about a charity or maybe my kid's school health program.
