This go fund me is to help pay medical expenses for my youngest of 4 sisters Jemma-Linda who was viciously attacked by a pit bull today and is in critical condition. She has suffered several injuries to her head and face including a cracked cranium and a severe wounds in her eyes. As I held Jem this morning I wondered about what life she would grow up to live and how beautiful she is. Our entire family is completely heart broken. Even if you can't donate today please take time to pray for her full recovery and future. Thank you for your time.+ Read More
Firstly I'd like to thank each of you for your kind words & generous donations! Jemma-Linda has a metal plate in her head which may cause complications with how she mentally develops in the future. Her pupils at this point are fine but she does have a torn tear duct that'll never work again. She has a broken nose & we are still discussing future cosmetic surgery. She's very stable but they're keeping her asleep to ensure she feels as less pain as possible. As for the dog, he was on a leash & his owner was present. Regardless of the matter the dog was put down shortly after the incident. I will keep you updated as I receive updates. Jemma-Linda is one of 5 siblings & due to the incident its been difficult to keep things under control. Thank you again for your support! Please keep sharing.
As of midnight last night Jemma-Linda has completed her first surgery. We were told by Drs. that multiple bones in her face have been broken due to the attack. She has a broken nose, punctured eye sockets, misplaced jawline, fractured cranium, a torn lip, brain punctured, & a crack behind her ear. She is currently stable but fighting anesthesia. Future complications may include the inability to develop properly mentally, & she will need plastic surgery in the future to replace her misplaced jawline. Jemma-Linda is the strongest & tiniest fighter I've ever seen! With all of your prayers and supprt, we have hopes she will make a speedy and full Recovery. Thank you all for the help!
