GEAF is a 501(c)3 Charity that specializes in assisting groomers that have been struck by natural disasters and other unforeseen tragedies.
We have all been watching the tragedy Hurricane Harvey has wreaked upon the greater Houston (TX) area. Homes and lives have been lost and businesses have been disrupted. There is no a soul in the area that has not been affected in some way. With any tragedy comes the innate need for people to reach out and help others, but finding the right avenues to contribute can be daunting, as less-than-honest people can take unfair advantage of the situation.

It is for this reason that GEAF was formed.
The Groomers Emergency Assistance Fund was spawned out of the turmoil caused by Superstorm Sandy. Local unaffected groomers helped those who were less fortunate. Grooming and industry related companies across the country contributed what they could, both financially and with equipment, knowing that their money or tools would go directly into the hands of a groomer to help get them up and running again.

The goaf of GEAF is to help relieve the immediate need of a groomer in distress who may have lost their business, equipment or even their homes in the path of tragedy. Applicants are vetted to assure they will qualify for aid. Insurance policies are reviewed and volunteers help the applicants get the most out of their policies. They are also directed to resources such as FEMA, and helped if needed. GEAF wants to help each and every affected groomer keep a roof over their heads, food on their tables and grooming tools in their hands to get them back to work ASAP. Every dime you contribute goes directly to help a sister or brother pet stylist. Every piece of equipment goes directly to someone who really needs it.

With that in mind, we encourage you to contribute to our GoFundMe page. If everyone reading this would donate the price of just one groom a week, we could help scores of professionals. Every bit helps.

Equipment in good condition can be mailed directly to
