Hurricane Michael Destroyed our Home

To everyone that will read this. Thank you. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, look through it, and read through the things that others have said. I’ve never been so humbled as I look at people that have reached out to us via private message, text and email.

And thank you to everyone who dug into their wallets to help. You don’t realize what you spend money for on a day-to-day basis until your clothes are all musty and gross, and you cant wash them. When you CAN it’s in a washroom in the place you’re holed up in that knows you have to have it, so they double their prices. I don’t remember it costing 3.00 to wash clothes when I used laundromats back in the day.....lol

Trying to come up with 500.00 a WEEK to rent a one room place for your family when 10 days ago you had a home you owned.......

The list goes on and on......THEN to find out that somehow somewhere the homeowner's insurance you thought you had wasn’t done properly by someone your wife trusted to handle those things. You find out you have what we called in the car business “Simple Interest” insurance....it’s called something different in real estate, but it means STRUCTURE ONLY....so your stuff????

Your screwed. FEMA doesn’t care. Oh yeah...they’ll help you to a degree, but I assure you it’s no windfall....and it’s not going to replace stuff you worked so hard for.

I feel guilty though. I feel guilty asking. I still have my car, I still have my life, and my family. I have no education to fall back on.

People think we’re loaded because of Margo's restaurant. We’ve been living off the reserves in THERE so as not to burden anyone. It has to have money to open so that well has run dry.

GOD KNOWS there are people that’ll read this and think I have SOME NERVE...there are those that have lost SO MUCH MORE, and they’re right. They are SO right. 

I had some “former” friends of mine get nasty because I wasn’t in the line up to grab a chainsaw and go to work clearing trees, or framing houses and/or any host of construction things. I know better than to try that because I’ll humiliate myself, maybe have a heart attack, and for sure get fired.

It’s humbling. It’s humbling to write a thing like this. Knowing there are those that’ll read this in the guise of a friend only to make a thing to laugh about in private messages but it’s just a risk I’ll have to take.

If you’re reading this, and can spare 10.00...maybe 20.00....it’ll give us enough of a pad to keep this rental place paid for until we get reopened, get a few weeks under us, and become self sustaining again. If not, I get it. I know it’s tough for everyone, God Bless you and I wish you the best. :)

HURRICANE DESTROYS/LOOTER'S STEAL TJ'S DJ EQUIPMENT AND KITCHEN CRAFT INCOME EQUIPMENT.  HELP GET THEM BACK ON TRACK TO BRING IN INCOME.

Unfortunetly, Ted "TJ" and Margo Coram Edwards' home has been destroyed during the hurricane. Their belongings are also destroyed.  They were just informed the "Structure" ONLY, not the "Contents" are covered by insurance.

Margo's Mom has Dementia, and this is very hard as she's been removed from her normal surroundings.  They have found a place to rent, however, their four furbabies will not be able to stay there.  There's no backyard.  Imagine living apart from your furbabies, and them not understanding why. 


The second story roof was ripped off which allowed the surge of rain inside of the house.  The rain has soaked into the insulation and drywall causing the ceilings on the first floor to collapse.  The entire side fence was blown away.

Please take a few minutes to help bring a little stability into their life. 

As of this moment, it looks like it will be quite some time before power is restored in their area.
